Also in the second picture above, slighlty to the right of the helicopter, and in the haze near the horizon, is Ctesiphon, the remains of an ancient building with a large arch built sometime about the 1st Century B.C. and mentioned in the Book of Ezra. The land to the left of the Tigris is the land between the two rivers, the Tigris and Euphrates.

The beauty of our stained glass windows is truly indeed an honor for those that they were given in honor or memory of. There are so many to see.The view, touch, feel, feelings and thoughts behind each one. The countless beauty of each one as it tells a story of God’s love and the love of the giver and for the loved one it is for. If you have not seen the inside to catch God’s handiwork in these masterpieces of history; please come and take a peek as you worship with us for our services. You would honor us with your presence. In addition to our wonderful and blessed service, how could I leave out the mighty musicians as well as our returning guest who played the flute again today. He also played on Holy Thursday. What talent he is blessing our church with. Mt. Mitchell thanks you for being a part of our ministry. You know who you are. We praise God for all His blessings for today and everyday.

Our Easter Sunrise service was beautiful as we watched the sun rising and as we listened to the powerful music of our Brass Band. Breakfast was awesome as always. The Easter worship service brings chills and tears of joy as we celebrate “Easter–Christ the Lord has Risen”. Please share that joy. As we decorated our Easter cross which was so naked and bare at the beginning and ended up with much beauty as we all took part in decorating it with beautiful flowers from God’s creation. The choir did an excellent job with the music that was so moving and inspirational.
We were very pleased to have visitors in our presence. We invite them back to our services again. A gentleman from Florida who will be moving to North Carolina and a gentleman who is sort of stationed at the truck stop on Lane Street until receiving further orders for his truck delivery but seen our website of our church and walked to Mt. Mitchell UMC this morning for worship service. We cannot deny that our Risen Christ is working within our presence. Praise God. Thank you Lord for your wonderful and passionate love even when we do not deserve it. Glory be to God the Father, Son and Holy Ghost. Amen Janice Wensil
