Deaf Awareness Month approved by 2009 Western NC Annual Conference
WNCC UM Deaf Ministry board members had cause for rejoicing when the 2009 Western NC Annual Conference approved Petition #11, for the annual observance of Deaf Awareness Sunday by local churches each September. Bishop Larry Goodpaster has begun a series of conversations with United Methodists across the conference with a video conversation on YouTube. The five-minute clip is an introduction to the series to help “rethink and reconnect” The United Methodist Church in western North Carolina. New videos will be added periodically.
